Our Story

It all started in paradise, between the islands of Tahiti and Maui, with a love story between two young people — Tevaihani & Jon — and a shared appreciation for the beautiful nature and cultures that surrounded them.

The breathtaking landscapes, the colors of the lagoons, and our Polynesian roots inspired us to create jewelry that reflected the places we loved and the beauty found in nature.

In 2011, that passion became Te Hotu Mana Creations.

We started small. We worked for our parents, saved what we earned, and reinvested it into our little business. In our free time, we taught ourselves new techniques, experimented with different materials, and slowly began creating our first pieces.

Before long, we were selling our creations on Maui, and eventually throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

From the beginning, our vision was to create jewelry that felt different — original, handcrafted pieces combining natural materials, thoughtful designs, and beautiful Tahitian pearls sourced from our home islands of French Polynesia.

What began with a few handmade treasures and a dream has grown into something we could never have imagined.

Over the years, we have built Te Hotu Mana Creations through hard work, perseverance, and a genuine love for what we do. Today, we are proud to be known throughout Hawaiʻi for our Tahitian pearls, the quality of our craftsmanship, our unique designs, and the personal service we provide to every customer.

But at heart, we are still the same two people who started creating together all those years ago — inspired by Tahiti, Maui, our culture, and the natural beauty of the islands we call home.

And every piece we create carries a little part of that story.
